Who we are
This policy is published by MODULX Composites & Casting Private Limited ("MODULX", "we"), Plot No H1-782, Tapukara Industrial Area, Chopanki, Bhiwadi, Khairthal-Tijara, Rajasthan 301707, India. It covers this website, the MODULX ordering platform at app.modulx.in and admin.modulx.in, and the MODULX app for Android (together, "the services").
The ordering platform and the app are for business customers, resellers and their staff. Accounts are created by MODULX or by your business's administrator.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, mobile number, email address, the business you belong to and your role.
- Business and identity details you or your administrator provide for invoicing and verification: PAN, Aadhaar number and GSTIN. Aadhaar numbers are encrypted when stored and shown only masked.
- Delivery details: the addresses and delivery contacts you save.
- Orders: what you order, quantities, prices, order and payment status, delivery progress and invoices. We do not take card or bank details in the app.
- A profile photo, if you choose to add one.
- Security records: sign-ins and sign-outs, changes made to accounts and orders, and server logs, which include IP addresses.
- A notification token, if you allow push notifications, so order updates reach your device.
- Quote requests sent from this website: your name, company, phone, email, city and message.
The Android app's permissions
- Camera, only when you choose to take a profile photo.
- Photos through Android's photo picker, which shares only the photo you pick, never your whole library.
- Notifications, to tell you about your orders and account.
The app does not use your microphone, contacts or location, and it contains no advertising.
How we use it
- To create and secure your account and sign you in.
- To show the catalogue and the prices that apply to your business.
- To accept, price, dispatch, deliver and invoice your orders, including GST tax invoices.
- To send account and order updates in the app, by email, by WhatsApp and, if you allow it, by push notification.
- To answer quote requests and support questions.
- To prevent misuse, investigate problems and keep the services running.
- To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who can see it
- You, and the administrators of your business, according to their role.
- MODULX staff who handle accounts, pricing, orders and delivery.
- Reporting tools your business authorises, such as Power BI, which receive only that business's records.
- Service providers who run parts of the services for us: server hosting, email delivery, WhatsApp message delivery (Twilio) and, where push notifications are enabled, Google Firebase Cloud Messaging. They process data only to provide those services.
- Authorities, when the law requires it.
How we protect it
The services use HTTPS. Passwords are stored only as secure hashes, Aadhaar numbers are encrypted at rest, and the Android app keeps its sign-in in the phone's secure storage. Access inside the platform depends on each person's role and business, and changes are recorded in an audit log.
How long we keep it
- Account details, for as long as your account is open.
- After a verified deletion request, your profile, contact details, photo, PAN, Aadhaar, GSTIN, saved addresses and notification tokens are deleted or anonymised within 30 days.
- Orders, invoices and the records they depend on, for as long as Indian tax and company law requires, currently up to eight years.
- Security records and backups, for a limited period, after which they are deleted in the normal course.
Your choices and rights
You can see and update most of your details in the app or on the platform; changes to your mobile number, PAN, Aadhaar and GSTIN go to your administrator or MODULX for approval. You can ask us for a copy of your personal data, to correct it, or to delete it, and you can withdraw consent where we rely on it. Write to info@modulx.in; we reply within 30 days. These rights include those under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
Deleting your account
In the app, open Account (or Settings), then Delete your account. Or follow the steps on modulx.in/delete-account.
Children
The services are for businesses and are not meant for anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy we update the date at the top, and we tell signed-in users in the app about changes that matter.
